Broughton Summer Party 2022

Celebrations

Celebrations

In the summer of 2022, Broughton employees came together for a fun-filled mini-festival to celebrate and have fun as one team. Remote employees from across the UK joined our office and laboratory-based team to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition followed by a mini-festival with live music, food, and drink on the grounds of Broughton Hall, where we have our GMP accredited laboratory.

All attendees were put into pre-arranged teams to mix with colleagues from different parts of the business and widen their internal network. The teams then competed in various events, such as the three-legged races, egg and spoon races, and tug-of-war.

Working together to win a three-legged race or a tug of war with staff outside your team is a fantastic way to build cross-business relationships and strengthen the bonds across the business. After the competition, everyone had quite an appetite and was treated to a selection of food from different catering vans and a bar serving various drinks. Finally, an acoustic duo performed a set for everyone under the trees, capping off a memorable evening in a magnificent location.

“Helping to organize and plan the summer party was great fun, and the way it came together makes me really proud. I’m so pleased that Broughton is able to provide us with the time and budget to bring events like this to life! The team building is great for growing the business, and coming together with your friends and colleagues in the sun was wonderful.”

- Ashlea Elliott, Business Development Assistant.

Our summer party was a huge hit with staff across the business, and Broughton is already planning the 2023 event. Strengthening our one-team mentality and building a robust and collaborative culture is a core company value. Celebrating everyone’s hard work and making our staff know they are valued sits at the heart of Broughton.
