Regulatory Operations Manager

Emily joined Broughton in 2020 having previously worked for a privately owned oil company holding both laboratory chemist and regulatory positions.

• 7 years’ experience in regulatory positions with a focus on regulatory requirements for ENDS and Cannabis products
• Previous scientific experience as a forensic examiner alongside various laboratory positions
• Passionate about communicating regulations for both current and new regulatory pathways

Emily has a Master of Arts degree and also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science in 2009. She has a scientific history within both the forensics and oil and petroleum industries before moving into the regulatory space in 2015. Emily is Regulatory Operations Manager at Broughton and works within the Regulatory Team.

She began her regulatory career working with REACH and CLP regulations, writing and publishing Safety Data Sheets and completing formulation and ingredient reviews. At Broughton, the regulatory team is involved in the publication of dossiers across all regulatory pathways as well as understanding all necessary regulatory requirements, dossier review and supporting the wider Broughton team with understanding and communicating all regulatory news both externally and internally. Emily is passionate about understanding and conveying new regulations within emerging markets and keeping abreast of all updates and changes affecting the markets.
