SME for QMS, OOS/OOT investigations and Pharmacopoeia
Emmet started his career at Broughton in 2007 as an Analytical Chemist, having completed a degree in Forensic and Analytical Scienceat the University of Huddersfield. As an Analytical Chemist, Emmet gained experience in the testing of solid dose medicines including various chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC). Having gained a passion for data verification, Emmet joined the quality team in 2011 as a Quality and Compliance Supervisor ensuring the company’s compliance to GMP and other regulations. Building on his experience as an Analyst, Emmet became the subject matter expert for OOS/OOT investigations as well as for all things pharmacopoeia. In2017 Emmet took on the role of Quality Manager, reporting to the Quality Director and managing the team of officers. In 2025 Emmet was promoted to the Quality Director role for the Broughton Group, being responsible for both the quality and equipment teams. He is responsible for quality and compliance and oversees both the day-to-day running and maintenance of the quality management system as well as setting the quality strategy for the group.
