Secret Santa at Broughton

Secret Santa gift on desk with keyboard, mouse, pens and paperclips

Celebrations

December saw Broughton’s staff participate in our annual secret Santa! The Secret Santa is a fantastic way of building the Christmas spirit across the organization and gives employees a chance to show their gratitude to their colleagues and have fun.

All employees have the chance to get involved. Whether you are based in our laboratories or work remotely, everyone can get involved and give something to a colleague during the festive period. Activities such as Secret Santa are a great way to build team spirit and camaraderie.

The Secret Santa activity is entirely voluntary, with employees choosing to opt in or out depending on their preference. A limit is set at £5 for the gift, which is then given on a specific day in the build-up to Christmas break.

A specialist web-based secret Santa software tool is used, so it’s easy for remote colleagues to get involved. Because of the random nature of the activity, there is a high chance that employees will be giving gifts to colleagues from different parts of the business. Building relationships across teams like this helps to build a one-Broughton culture.
